It is my prayer that you will ask God to increase your faith and help you see his bigger, better plan for you — a plan that has no room for burnout or emotional exhaustion, but instead one that promises a life of balance, courage, and love for yourself, for others, and for your heavenly Father.
“Why didn’t God protect me? Why did he let this happen?” These are the devastatingly personal equivalents of the age-old question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” and its mirror image, “Why do good things happen to bad people?”
With technology, we decide what we want to do, where we want to go, whom we access, and who accesses us. Some pieces of technology is, itself, a controller. It controls some part of our world and gives us access to that power.
As you get older and older, believing that God loves you gets harder and harder. God’s love for you is not based on you; God’s love for you is based on God. God decides to love you, to call you his child, and to consider you special and give you a unique purpose in the world.
When God is truly your spiritual navigator, you may drive the car, but He is in charge of the direction you go. It’s your job to follow His lead, even if it’s a direction you’re not thrilled to be taking.
Time is the new commodity, the new treasure, in this culture because so many people seem to have so little of it left over. So, how a person spends his or her time says a great deal about what they value.
